Old Overholt is far from a newcomer to the whiskey world. Its roots trace back to the early 1800s when Abraham Overholt, a German immigrant, started distilling in West Overton, Pennsylvania. The brand has weathered many changes over the centuries, including different ownerships and evolving production techniques. In 1987, Jim Beam acquired Old Overholt, bringing the distilling operations to Kentucky, where it continues to produce high-quality rye whiskey.
